What's new in Jiwa V6.5.7
Upgraded Cash Book Receipts and Payments
The General Ledger code for direct transactions to the bank is enabled to accept
direct entry rather than having to select the account from a search window.
This considerably speeds up data entry.
Quick Add for Inventory Items
A cut down version of the Inventory Maintenance form was been implemented to allow
fast creation of new inventory items. All data is entered on the one input screen.
Multiple default warehouses
Regions have been added to Inventory. Regions allow a supplier to be set per region,
allowing multiple "default" suppliers for a product. Each Logical warehouse has a region
attached to it.
Updated Serial Number tracking
This form provides users with the ability to select a single serial number or range of serial numbers,
part numbers, etc. and get a list of all sales orders and credit notes the selected serial numbers
appears on
Extended XML Import & Export functionality
The following forms now have the XML Export and Import menu option under the Record, Utilities menu.

- Debtors Maintenance
- Creditors Maintenance
- Inventory Maintenance
- Contact Maintenance
Sales order batch printing
The Sales Order Batch Printing form has been re-written to support batch emailing.
Email templates have been implemented to be used in conjunction with this new form as well as the ability to create pre-defined settings. Tokens have been implemented in the Email Template to facilitate the creation process.
Upgraded Staff Access Rights module
The Staff Access Rights module has been completely re-written and roles have been implemented. Specific roles can be created and then attached to a user in the Staff Maintenance form. Where two or more roles are attached to a user and settings overlap, the highest level of permissions takes precedence. Permissions can be set down to the lowest level of tab.
POS Integration
The POS Integration service will import sales and payout transactions from the JiwaPOS system into Jiwa.
Scheduled Scripts
Scheduled Scripts is a new feature in Jiwa that allows you to perform some action (as defined by the script code) at a specified date and time and/or interval.
System Maintenance
The Systems Maintenance form was been re-written. New features include:
- Ability to implement Custom Columns and Tabs under the menu Record, Settings
- A new feature has been implemented under Record, Utilities, Show Change Logs which allows you to view what system settings were changed by who and when
